ABOUT WORD OF LIFE
A Glimpse into Word of Life: Our Journey & Impact
Word of Life is not just a church; it’s a divine calling. Birthed through Elder Jeff Lomax’s profound connection with the Holy Spirit, our journey began in 2004. The seeds of Word of Life were sown while Elder Jeff served as an associate minister in Chicago under the guidance of Bishop Harry R. Wilson Jr.
A Path Unveiled
The initial impression to establish a ministry in Madison took root in 2011. Elder Jeff, fueled by divine inspiration, found his way to Madison, guided by a Higher Purpose. The journey started small, with Bible classes in a conference room hotel every other Friday.

OUR IMPACT
Serving the East Side Community
Word of Life has been a beacon of hope on the east side of Madison. From weekly Bible classes to baptisms, holiday meals, and assisting families in need, we’ve woven a tapestry of compassion. Notably, we surpassed a financial goal through a fire benefit fundraiser, demonstrating the power of community support.

marked by divine intervention as one soul experienced the infilling of the Holy Ghost.
The very next day, Word of Life held its inaugural Sunday Worship service at the East Madison Community Center’s Multi-Purpose Room, marking the beginning of a journey marked by faith and purpose.
